Stormy Weather

Thanks to Tropical Storm Fay, I got two extra days off from school. I took advantage of this time to get some extra sleep in, watch the Olympics past my bedtime, and oh yeah, do some work. Honestly, I did most of the work today - seating charts for my classes, a course schedule for my SAT/ACT Verbal prep course, and an Introductory Quiz for my AP English students.

Things I still have to do:

1. Introductory Letter for my AP kids
2. Lesson Plans for all six classes
3. Wash and dry my hair (this takes more time than all of the above!)

I'm doubly grateful that the storm gave me this extra time, and most especially, that the storm wasn't that bad. Honestly, some of the rainstorms during the summer were worse. All we got from Fay was a little wind and rain. We didn't even lose electricity, thank goodness.

But we're not out of the woods just yet - we've got at least 4 more months before hurricane season is over. I have a feeling this is going to be a busy hurricane season...

While Fay is keeping you drenched, it keeping me dry! And the dust is getting in everywhere! Wish I were teaching, but I haven't given up yet! :)
