The greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing...

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool,
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out is to risk involvement,
To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas and dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return,
To live is to risk dying,
To hope is to risk despair,
To try is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

--William Arthur Ward

I need to be less afraid of life, more willing to take those risks. I need to be braver with myself and with others. So many times, I feel like the little engine that could, except my mantra sounds more like, "I wish I could, I wish I could..."

I know exactly what you mean! I am so sleepy right now, it's hard to put my thoughts into words but I too feel like a little engine that could. But lately I feel overwhelmed by all the things piling up, things I truly long to do and be. It's hard to know what's right... So hard I am up at a stand still lately...

I heart you!
