Thanks again for the postcard! Garrison Keillor is right -- it's such a nice feeling, getting something in the mail that's not a bill.

Today I received the sweetest postcard in the mail from Danielle. It made my morning! Thanks, Danielle, for the well wishes. I am feeling a whole lot better now that I'm finally cured of the flu/plague/pharyngitis. And I plan on totally getting back to writing as soon as I finish the book series I'm currently reading, The Mortal Instruments. It has completely sucked me in, so all of my free time (aka, when I'm not grading or spending time with Ricky) has been devoted to it.

:) i'm glad to hear you're feeling better!
you know what i'm really hoping for though? i'm hoping you'll suddenly (and very soon) become independently wealthy so you can just write novels. obviously i'd be your biggest fan.
i hope you're having a good weekend!
Girl... That's my biggest dream. You know that, right? To be able to roll out of bed every day and pull up my laptop and just start writing, in my jammies, with my cat curled up at my feet... I can't even.
i'm writing people pretty letters in the post this year. expect something :)
oh, and of course... i have to send you your Pay It Forward gift! as soon as i figure out what to make, and then make it ;)
