C'est la vie.

Today I woke up feeling deliciously human again, with just a touch of the sniffling and coughing that has plagued me these past few days. I know I must be feeling better, because I woke up at 9:30 AM despite the fact that I went to bed late last night grading papers.

It's been a nice Valentine's weekend for me. I hope yours was, too. My only regret? I had mentioned to Ricky earlier in the week that I had wanted to get some champagne like we did some years ago, but we forgot and the weekend passed and I didn't remember I'd forgotten until this morning.

Oh well. C'est la vie. Though who's to say we need to wait until next February 14th to get some champagne? ;)

I am so deliriously happy I don't have to go in to work until tomorrow! It's so awesome to stretch my toes and just relax. I've been rather lazy today, just staying in bed with my cat and re-reading "Breaking Dawn." I'm going through the "Twilight" series again, and no, I won't say how many times it's been, hee. I think it's so interesting that the books change for me every time I read them again. That's the power of reading -- each time you pick up a book again, its experience is influenced by what you're thinking, feeling, living at the moment. And it becomes, in essence, a brand-new book.

Woot! You lucky duck... No school for you, and you're feeling better! I'm glad your flu is over.
The title caught my Frenchie eye, too! :D

@ Stacey: Be strong! You can always reward yourself with some Edward once the last box has been unpacked. ;)

@ Orange: Hee, yes, I'm lucky, but not as lucky as Gwen with her mammoth FULL WEEK off. Blarg...

haha I'm also glad your feeling better. What a coincedence because I just finished re-reading Twilight & I sort of skipped New Moon because I re-read that not to long ago. So now I'm on Eclipse which you're right on how it changes! :] Have fun re-reading the series! :]

@ Brittany, I just finished Eclipse and wrote my analysis of it on my Twi-blog, so check that out when you finish it (again!).

I'm sorry this comment is way off topic. But your header is really funny, and I like how you described yourself: an English teacher who is madly in love with words. Your students must feel very blessed to have you! :D

Oh my girlie-ness I LOVE that photo! Thanks so much for your sweet comment and for the follow.

I'm glad you’re feeling better :) Feeling human again after that horrible non-human cold stage is like a rebirth LOL

I agree, on re-reading books. It is an experience that shapes you for the moment. Yep, I will never tell how many times I read Twilight, New Moon or Eclipse.
But, for some reason...I can’t go back into Breaking Dawn. Well, I read book 1 over and over. The wedding was pure bliss to read but for the rest...I just get stuck and can’t do it.

Thanks again for the follow, I always love making new friends and anyone who is in love with words, truly understands the meaning and power they all bring. ~Tierra

When I get sick again, and am bedded down.. I'll start the series again...
I tend to abandon life once I start those books..
