I believe this—when twin souls meet and their eyes lock for the first time, a kind of spark flares up, invisible to the rest of the waking world. They see nothing but each other.
Love is the ability to look at the ordinary and see it as extraordinary.
So is Love. A marriage of the minds. The joining of breath & flesh barely touches upon this magic. Lovers struggle, blind hands grappling in the darkness to scratch the surface of it. But neither hand nor tooth nor nail can get close enough. Maybe, in an infinitesimal moment no bigger than a pinprick of light, he or she thinks that they have found it.
Yet no sooner than their eager fingers clench upon the wonder does it disappear. Quick as a bird in sudden flight.
